Sand Dollars

Many years ago, I noticed that souvenir shops in Miami International Airport carried sand dollars of simple beach scenes, usually with a "V" or two representing seagulls, that must have taken all of 5 minutes to paint. I decided to try doing some myself, using acrylics instead of oils, and going for much more detail than those I had seen at MIA. Here are a few samples. In the intervening years, I must have sold more than 200 of these.

We love to take pictures and show them to the world.
